Palestinian-American Teenager Freed After Nine Months in Israel's Imprisonment

An American-Palestinian adolescent having endured nine months in imprisonment by Israel without being charged gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 at the time of his arrest this past winter throughout the West Bank territory, during a family visit from his Florida home for allegedly throwing stones against settlement residents, claims he consistently denied.

The US state department applauded the news of Mohammed's release.

Mohammed, now 16, needed medical care right after being freed, family members reported.

American authorities announced ongoing to provide consular support for the Ibrahim family.

Mohammed's parent, with four children operating an ice cream shop in Florida, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations to throwing stones due to physical abuse.

There were no visits or communicated with his son since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively regarding the treatment through judicial records.

He stayed absent formal charges at Ofer detention facility throughout the occupied territory.

It is also home to mature inmates, including individuals found guilty for major terrorist activities including killings.

An estimated 350 Palestinian minors in security custody being held in Israeli jails, based on prison authority data.

Several lack formal charges along with monitoring agencies, and international organizations, say some have suffered physical abuse and torture.
