The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the knell for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content on PS5 topics for the first time. Last year proved to be complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox continues to plan to draw people in with strong games on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are rock solid. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — which makes them perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
