Young golfer getting ready for significant tournament

This young athlete boasts considerable online following

Kai Trump will have multiple prominent backers as she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, someone who loves golf, owns numerous golf courses and regularly plays against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa basically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.

"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in just three tournaments this year and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

But she can get advice from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He represents the best player in the world," Kai stated.

"And he's a superior person. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."

She'll challenge some of the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to new audiences, particularly among the next generation.

The social media influencer boasts a massive following and has started a personal apparel and wellness company.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
